Bead Soup Stuff

So I sent my Bead Soup Party mix in the beginning of the February and while I don't have an actual introduction of my partner yet, I can definitely show what I sent for her, since she did  confirm that she has received the package.
This is my first time in a Bead Soup and I now hope that I would have taken a bit better pictures of what I sent but since I didn't, here it goes just as it is.

Bead Soup Party!!! It is here!!!

Some of you are well aware of the Bead Soup Party but those who aren't here comes a short explanation. Bead Soup Party is a blog hop party that starts by signing up for the event, signing up has unfortunately now ended, so you will have to just wait for the next one but don't worry another one is probably already in plans. Once all willing have signed up, the event organizer Lori will pair people and let them know who they are paired with. Now we are supposed to send one focal, one special clasp and some coordinating beads to our recipient. We are also going to get similar package in return and out of those beads we will make some jewelry and on some set reveal days post the pictures and story on our blogs. Our blogs will be then published to all the other people who joined and we can hop on all those blogs oohing and aahing all the wonderful creations. I am so happy to have joined, this will be my first bead soup party! I am going to send some of my lampworked beads and when it comes to the clasp, I will have to go shopping!
So come back to see the goodies!!!

Wind of Change

I have started blogging about the upcoming change in our lives. We have decided that after years of just working hard, it is time to start enjoying the life. Well, we are going to move into an RV full time, and now you are invited to follow the process. The plan is to travel and enjoy our lives, when we get tired of one place we move to the next one. I am still trying to figure out if I can pack up my glass studio and go mobile with it, or if I am just going to move to the jewelry making, that I can take with me anywhere I go.

Join us at http://chasing75.blogspot.com/ I promise it will be a whole lot of going back and forth, until we actually get going. I will be sharing recipes, pictures and of course once we get onto the road, I will be sharing images and tales from our adventures. So far we are still tied to the house, we need to sell it, sell our small RV and get rid of whole bunch of stuff. If you have any advice as how to take a glass studio onto the road, hop in and write a comment, they will be very appreciated.

Family growing

We have been busy with our furry family, which is becoming a zoo, and we love it!

We made a trip to Costa Rica for a little less than a week, and we had to have somebody stay at our house for the time, since it made it so much easier and probably cheaper too, than boarding two dogs and a cat. As it happens, since the trip, we decided to get another family member.

We have now three dogs, and a cat. Zubov the cat is not exuberantly happy about this, but he is dealing with it rather well. Nelli the 13 year old border terrier is relieved that we have a friend now for 1 year old Italian Greyhound Pixie. The new comer is also an Italian Greyhound that we adopted from the Texas Italian Greyhound Rescue, where I am a volunteer foster mom. So this is Louie, our new munchkin that has turned the house totally upside down, and we couldn't be more happy.

Tutorial for Lampworkers: Murrini Cookbook, Silver and Reactive Glass

We have finally finished the exchange for silver and reactive murrini. The results are going to be seen in my new tutorial, where you can see the murrinis in beads, and also read the descriptions how to make them. It is right now on pre-sale for discounted price, and will be published on 9/11/11. I believe this is a great tool for anyone who uses murrini in their work, and wants to make them too.

Murrini soon on Etsy

I got such a great feedback for my murrini, that I have decided to start selling it on Etsy. I will spend some time working on my first murrinis in the next few days.I have decided on at least 3 different murrinis to start with. One of the first ones is going to be my latest murrini with blue center, I had some of it for sale in the garage sale section of the Lampworketc glass forum, and I was surprised by the interest in it. I had already decided that I would not be able to sell anymore there, since I will launch my murrini on Etsy, but I had no idea that it would go over as well as it did.
Hope to report soon how my kick start went.
Wish me luck!
